Don't worry Baba, we're getting plenty of good Thai food :) . Yesterday we went out with a Thai woman who took us to one of her favorite seafood restaurants, and it was amazing: spicy chicken soup (I know, chicken is not seafood), fresh fish with garlic, and a giant spiced crab...
Thanks for the post. We feel very special, too. I can't relate to wanting Big Macs in Thailand, with all the great food they have available. But to each her own. :-)
Have you gotten a massage yet?
And I loved the 5 things about Cambodia. What did Jordan do to his finger?
Thanks for making me feel special by mentioning me in your post. I'm glad you made is safely to Bangkok. Speaking of rain, we've had two straight days of non-stop rain in Hanoi. Speaking of elephants, how do you retrieve an earring after an elephant swallows it? You let him run around until he's all pooped out.
Good thing you guys got seats - it would have been unpleasant for Jordan to be squatting in the aisle. Did you manage to keep your seats with all the getting off and on?
Sounds like the culture there is not time oriented... :-)
Repeat after me, "this is an experience I refuse to be denied!"
You have to remember that in HP the beds in the night bus sweep across the floor, and in the movie Harry is also squished against the glass. I think he does fit in the bed though. At least you two have great adventure stories, keep them coming!
Our first long-distance train ride in Tunisia, we got on the train after all the seats were taken (because of all the people jumping in the windows while the train was pulling into the station), and had to stand in an open doorway (standing room only, too packed to try to sit on the floor), with hot air and dust blowing on us for the full 6 hours. (After which, we spent the night in a $4 no-star hotel that probably didn't deserve either the price or that rating.)
The experiences that make for memorable (unforgettable) traveling. :-)
And to think, in our case, that we could have gone first-class with guaranteed seats, for probably just a couple of $ more! :-)

I seem to like beer every where I go!!!
What did Jordan do to his hand?
Marisa,

Yes, amazing, and I have another attack of travel envy...
This looks incredible! And what beautiful sunlight. Wish I was with you guys. :)
Wow! Stunning photos, and I'm glad to see the crammed/hot bus ride lead you to this grand finale.
Loved this. Love you.
Wow, Marisa. I think that's all I have to say. Wow. And that this made me laugh (in deep sympathy).

Good post, Marisa-Dumbledore.
You should write a book.
Wow. That is quite the story (I especially love the picture of Jordan and his poor, poor knees).
That last picture of you on the beach is gorgeous. :)
Amazing fotos !
Thank you for making it easy to grasp

As always, when I read your posts and see your pictures, I wish we were with you.
Wow, amazing photos as usual! I'm sorry about all the rain :( At least it isn't below zero?
We're jealous. The countryside looks beautiful. The food sounds good. Jordan doesn't have any hair. Do you still have hair, Marisa?
Wow, that scenery looks gorgeous.
I really enjoyed traveling on your trip with you both! A beautiful presentation marisa.
Wow!! Beautifully done Marisa -- I <3 it!
Gorgeous Marisa!

Well, for the record, I find this map pretty spiffy.
