Marisa, you should write children's books. Or adult books. You have a great voice. I love this. I hope you have as much fun in the next leg of your journeys.
As always, it is a joy to read your thoughts and perspective on traveling, and how your life has been influenced by the variety of cultures you've experienced. Savor your remaining days in Hanoi, and enjoy the last of the Tilamook.
isabella bird's accounts on korea provide an interesting glimpse into how some of the korean establishment felt threatened by christian beliefs. see her book Korea and her neighbors.
good to know that raphaelle will be happy in malaysia. she's obsessed with that baby song by bieber. she asks for it every morning by saying 'baby' assertively and dances up a storm. she'd be down with five times a day.that is probably the most precious part of her culture and shell protect it from being washed away, unless the idol in the new wave is better sounding and better looking.
Terrific. Thanks so much for posting. I love the pictures. I especially enjoy the "exploring" and "adventure" themes. You guys are truly adventurers and explorers!
You are a professional scrapbooker. You are good. Great creativity. And the story of your travels is fascinating and enticing. I wish we were with you.
Wow, what an experience. Some great pictures. You do look good, Marisa, with a parrot on your head (and shoulder, and front, and arms...). I think you could start a new fashion, if one would just ride around on your head all day. Sorry we couldn't see parrots on Jordan, too.
Yes, I would say that Angkor park is among the coolest places I have ever been. Angkor Wat itself is magnificent, and there are so many other temples, with such various styles and locations. I have to admit that I'm a bit of a sucker for anything that makes me feel even a little like a whip-wielding archeologist, and some of the Angkor temples (completely overrun with trees and vegitation, with plenty of lonely corners to explore) really did the trick.
Ps. I LOVE the picture Angkor Wat. Looks like maybe the coolest place ever.
Pps. We also had fish nibble our feet, in Malaysia. I am very ticklish, but it was still rather entrancing.
As usual, your creative flair and talent are quite evident. I enjoyed seeing the "fam" together. You've helped capture the memories of the holidays. Well done.
LOVE the photos from Cambodia! I also want to know what happened to Jordan's finger? I also want to know whether or not you actually typed your post while riding on the bus? If so, how did you do it?

Yeah, I noticed that she had been to Korea... I'll have to check that out.

Haha. Yeah, it seems Bieber fans can have a pretty good time anywhere in the world these days :)

It's fun to catch a snatch of what you're up to every so often! I chuckled out loud over the glitter that even your mom would approve of...

Ah, I see. I think one is supposed to use the knife to cut the bread, not one's fingers. But then, I could be wrong.
Ha! Loved this!
